I'm in Arizona.
I'm trying to manage this and triage it.
Give her a little bit of time to get her over the hump and see if she doesn't stabilize.
And she did.
She came around so quickly when we implemented what I'm about to share.
She came around so quickly that I was like, okay, we will let you... Because, you know,
Let's be straight.
When you put a very frail, very sick elderly person in the hospital, it's a crapshoot.
I'm not saying the hospitals aren't going to take good care of them, but it's a real crapshoot at that point because you go in there, the chances of contracting C. difficile and pneumonia or MRSA is really high.
So they go in and come out with a whole set of problems they didn't enter with.
And you guys know as well as I do, things can become very medicalized very fast.
And I cannot tell you the number of...
Friends and colleagues who've called me and said, my grandma went in the hospital for, you know, we just wanted to rehydrate her with a couple bags, you know, saline IVs or something really simple.
And next thing you know, they're running extensive lab work and extensive studies.
The bill's getting real high because...
What's Medicare going to pay for, right?
And things get real medicalized real fast is my point.
And next thing you know, they're suggesting these frail, very sickly, very weak people like get a stent or get some kind of cardiovascular procedure done.
And it's like, are you kidding me?
They're a weak, frail, little dried out leaf.
