I don't care if you're on a plane having anxiety because you're flying or you suddenly get dizzy for whatever reason or you just don't feel good.
I was on a hike the other day and I had just myself gotten over a little bit of a sickness and I was having a real hard time with the heat and the fact that I was constantly having to go up.
It wasn't necessarily elevation.
Maybe it was, but it was just like...
I mean, it was a lot of bouldering and I was gassing out, as I call it.
I would stop and just put a little salt under my tongue.
And then I was fine.
I use salt during workouts.
For those of you with POTS, you know, my POTS girlies, you know what I'm talking about.
Salt, salt is your BFF.
So recently had a client I was talking to who was having some potential cardiovascular issues and I was sharing with them the same thing, like try the salt, just try it.
Just keep salt anywhere and everywhere.
If you start to feel wobbly or unstable or you don't feel well, salt.
because you can drink all the water in the world.
And in fact, my mom was drinking a tremendous amount of water.
So she claims it is not absorbing in some cases.
And the real simple explanation is when you get so far into dehydration, this is why I have the swishing in the mouth thing.
This is why mouth is important here.
And this is why putting a little salt in your mouth actually matters because it helps downstream some of the absorption to occur.
