It's like, that's probably why they're so universal and they can apply to so many different domains, but no real question there.
Just anything you got to riff off that.
Yeah, like before I became a dad and I used to go to a restaurant, let's say when my wife and I didn't have a kid and I would see like a family at the dinner table and everyone would be on their device,
I would be so judgmental about it.
I'd be like, why the fuck are they doing that?
Why can't they just get off their phones and shit?
Like it must, it'd be so easy because me with that, not at that point, not being a dad, not knowing it.
And now I'm like, have a six month old and I'm like, oh, I get it.
I can make the rationale now very much easier as to why I would throw the iPad in front of my,
son or daughter because like for the last three or four hours they've been crying i had to change 17 diapers i have got no sleep in the last six months it's like i get it but still is it worth it like our parents didn't do that they didn't have devices to use they just like dealt with it my mom said after i was done eating i would throw throw the rest of my food on the floor and then my dad would have to take me outside we'd have to play for the rest of dinner while my mom ate food with my sister like so they figured it out why
Why can't we figure it out?
Because we have these conveniences that have made it easier.
We just rely on them instead of trying to do the hard thing, which I most certainly learned from playing sports.
And I'm sure obviously you did as well.
Right, certainly not, certainly not, yeah.
What did playing sports and being a pro teach you about being a dad?
Yeah.
I mean, it goes right into, you know, the work you have with your company, work on your game.
You know, is that something you started?
I think that's something you started like at the tail end.
