And then I think sports do a really good job of like,
sometimes being like a step above the business world where sports added a mental performance piece and a mindset piece.
And they've been talking about psychology for a very long time.
Now, of course, there's the darker side of sport.
We lose a lot of these athletes to suicide too recently in the NFL, but that's a separate conversation.
We're talking about maybe the performance aspect piece that's important that most people can use.
And so I think in the business world now it's finally catching on because if I treat myself like an athlete and the positive side of it, that means I'm gonna take care of myself daily so I can perform when it matters most.
But most, like you're saying, don't understand what it means to handle pressure, feel nerves, or be a discipline on a daily basis or like,
get you know lack of sleep and still have to perform at their very best like parents understand that sometimes business leaders might not understand that i think there's such a cool parallel between sports and business that if we treat ourselves in that way we can get the best out of ourselves but normally you need someone who made it to a very high level in sport to relay that information or else it kind of just like seems i don't know like someone who just played high school balls trying to do that it's like you
They could be passing on the right information, but I think it's less impactful because you're talking from experience, not from just from like a book, I guess, my point.
Yeah.
I learned that pretty quickly.
When I started coaching baseball, I started coaching this like 13 year old team.
And, you know, I'm talking about I played baseball at a pretty high level.
And so I'm talking about hitting and all these types of things and whatever.
And the kids kind of look at me like I sort of know, but I don't really want to listen to you.
We don't really know who you are.
And then after the first time they actually saw me hit a baseball like on the field, instantly they cared about what I had to say because they saw me produce the results that I'm trying to get into them.
And I think that's also a cool connection.
And now that's hard when you're just doing a speaking engagement, but you have that evidence already to show people like this stuff does work because I got cut from my team.
