Pensions and healthcare costs.
It seems like this is a common theme with politicians where they get into office promising cuts and benefits for the little guy and the little guy ends up getting screwed out of the transaction.
To your point, rich people could just get up and leave and go somewhere else or they get tax cuts if you're part of the big beautiful bill.
But with New York specifically,
If somebody did pay into a pension and pension costs are ballooning to then say, sorry, we have to cut pensions.
That is a slap in the face of the person that paid into it voluntarily.
They didn't have it.
Same thing with social security.
You guys took it out of my check this entire time.
You told me I'll get it later.
And now the later comes and you're saying, sorry, we don't got it no more.
The U.S.
president keeps saying they have the strongest military force in the world.
The strongest military force in the world may at times be struck so hard that it cannot get up again.
Like, if we're at a party and somebody said that to me, I'd be like, yo, like, are we good?
Like, I would change my demeanor.
This is a tough one, because the largest driver of the budget is pensions, healthcare costs.
Yep, guess what you have to cut?
