blatant lie we'll accept it there's an element of truth in it isn't there it was good to talk football I know I had to excuse the fact that back then you were Spurs
Well, I was thinking, you know, neither of us were Pompey when we were nippers.
I was a Fulham fan, you were Spurs.
You're a kind of a Pompey fan now, of course, of course.
But they didn't lose, they got us stuffed.
yes there is yeah yeah okay well thank you very much indeed for your time gordon it's always more than valuable to hear what you have to say because we we look for echoes of john and his thinking in what you say we'll end with one question and i know it's out there because you sent me a message about it and it's been all over the papers down here and that is that john is now saying out loud possibly for the benefit of the eisners who will get wind that um
a bigger transfer budget is necessary.
It would, although I thought he looked very young and relaxed after the Millwall game, and who wouldn't?
Gordon, thank you so much for your time.
Portsmouth moved six points clear of the Championship relegation zone as Gustavo Caballero's strike 30 seconds into the second half teed up victory over promotion-chasing Millwall at the Den.
An uneventful first half burst into life when Caballero's powerful strike, after his initial shot was saved, nestled in the back of the net.
The lead was doubled within 10 minutes, with Malenik Ali doing superbly to beat his man down the left flank, and find John Swift, who thumped the ball home from the edge of the box.
Millwall, who were chasing a fourth win in five games, and had lost just one of their previous ten matches, pulled a goal back, when Kasper Dinori found the corner of the net with a delightful curling strike.
