So that it's semi-dark when you come out of the ground and you walk past the hamburgers and the hot dog joints and the fish and chip shops and the hot potato stands and get to the station and stand there knowing that you possibly got a hot pot or at least a cheese sandwich when you get home because you're going to need supper, not a late lunch.
