Many years ago, I cleaned up the bore on a 22.
I restored for a friend that had not been shot in years.
And the board, I don't think it was pitted too bad.
It was gross.
And I stoked, I filled a PVC pipe that I had put a cap on.
I filled it with Marvel mystery oil.
Oh yeah.
Good stuff.
Yeah.
And I just stuck that barrel in there and let it sit for like a month.
and then just scrub the shit out of it, and it cleaned up pretty nice.
It might be.
I'm not smart enough to know that, but I just know that I've used it on some stuff like that.
Even when I would freshly blue something, because I used to be better than I am.
So when I blew a gun, I would soak it in marble mystery oil for a couple weeks.
