Okay.
I'm going to go first because I wrote down some notes.
So number one, knowing the climate prior to her leaving is very important.
I would not send my wife to Minneapolis, Minnesota right now for anything.
I don't care if it's a girls getaway weekend or a business function.
You're not going.
Period.
End of story.
Cancel or reschedule the trip.
Why would you go into an area that already has or is expecting civil unrest?
Makes no sense to me.
For me, it's highly unlikely that my wife would ever be in that situation anyway.
So it's not something I really need to worry about.
Although she did go back to New England last week.
But I don't have to worry about Massachusetts.
But...
If you ended up in that situation, having a backup plan prior to the departure, regardless of what is going on in that area, should be common practice for any travel at any time.
Plan an escape route.
Identify primary and secondary places of refuge.
