Don't separate from a group if you're going with a group.

Have a go bag with you.

Water, food, first aid, comms, weapon, etc.,

Do not rely on law enforcement to provide protection or aid.

Do you have friends, either her and or me?

Do we have friends or resources locally or within reasonable travel distances?

Identify those local contacts and talk to them before she goes to that area.

So, yeah, those are some of the things that I normally think about before, even when I travel.

If something happens while I'm gone, because that's more likely that I'm going to be the one traveling, not her.

She's going to be here.

What if I go somewhere and I get caught in a situation, whether it's weather or civil unrest, anything like that, what's going to be my plan to get out of that situation and back?

Now, she's not going to come get me, but if I had to go get her, those would be things that I would be thinking about.

The one thing that I probably should think about more would be communications outside of cellular technology.

Um, is that a handheld or portable ham radio about saying something like that?

I'm probably not going to rely on mesh because you don't know if there's unreliable.

You don't know if there's going to be a repeaters in the area, blah, blah, blah.

I want something that's going to be reliable.

You're not going to be able to reach her over a handheld ham.
