They make evaluations on people that other clubs seem to miss.
And I'll tell you, in spring training, it was an interesting little look because they had
Caminero, of course, and Aranda and Yandy Diaz, they figured Simpson would continue to develop on both sides of the ball.
And beyond a handful of hitters like that, there were some questions.
And they added some veterans, not big-name veterans.
Pitching has always been a great key for them.
And they went out and added...
A couple of veterans there in Matz who has pitched well.
He's on the IL right now, but he has pitched very well.
Martinez has been great.
And I think out of those two, they are 8-2.
And I think they just have this unique knack, gift, whatever you want to call it,
of evaluating and projecting people, and that, frankly, is what they've done, because when they opened the season, and they did that in the cold, you know, St.
