They think there's a lot of high upside there.

And to have the versatility to have him work in the bullpen if needed or slide into the rotation...

And I think their plan for him is to keep him in that rotation long term in terms of this season.

And they're very good about that transition and not overworking a guy, working them in gradually and letting them build up.

And so I think Griffin Jacks is going to be an interesting and integral part

if this team is to continue the success that they've had so far.

Well, I think he's, you know, you see a guy who is as fast as he is and you think, well, automatically he should be a great defensive player.

And what he has done this year is made some steps forward.

I think defensively, you know, the offense is the big part because you see him bunt and run and do all the things he can do.

But I think kind of under the radar, he's made some progress defensively.

And you think of a guy in the left field, if you go back years, Lou Brock was such a great player for the Cardinals after they got him from the Cubs because he could steal all the bases and Brock had a little pop once in a while.

But his defensive game developed as he went along.

And he was more known for stolen bases than great defense.

But because of his speed, I look at the defensive development of Lou Brock the same way I would look at

what Chandler Simpson has done to this point and hopes to do to make himself an outstanding outfielder.

And I think he's headed in that direction, and it's a work in progress.

But he's a fun guy to have on the club and the offensive side.

I mean, he drives pitchers and catchers and opposing defenders crazy with that great speed.

Yeah, I don't think there's a club around that has interchangeable parts, offensively, defensively, and pitching, starting, bullpen, as they do.

And right now, Brian Baker has been great out of the bullpen as a closer.
