And he did actually apologize to Judge Liam Kennedy for saying, sorry for getting so upset.

Yeah, I mean, I don't know if you've ever had that discussion with somebody, how much money is in an ATM.

But in the case of...

of the B Berry, it did come out in one court hearing that €220,000 had been put into the machine.

I think when they got to it there was €204,000 left in it.

And there was a group, there was five men involved in the raid and apparently they split up the money and they all got €41,000 as their share.

Yeah, and we know that since then, a lot of these sort of vulnerable ATM machines that are kind of in the walls of shops, at filling stations, that sort of thing, and not to mention banks often, say, in old buildings, they've been restructured so that they're actually surrounded now by a steel cage.

So it's much more difficult to get at them.

Now, the one that he was convicted for, it was in Enniscorthy,

And it was at a Maxwell filling station.

And we heard from some of the court hearings at the time that they went around places like Tremor and some other towns and they were picking up vehicles that they were going to use in this criminal enterprise.

And there was already a digger at the site.

There was work being done.

And that's what they actually used to pull it out.

And then this was loaded onto a trailer, a stolen trailer, pulled by a stolen Jeep.

And off they went into the night.

They had done, like the gang were suspected of a whole series of these.

And there were originally charges involving other ATM robberies in, I think in Kilkenny and I think it's Wexford as well, as well as the one in Enniscorthy.

Now he was only convicted of just the one in Enniscorthy and he got a six year sentence for that.
