A creature that eats us, of course.
But they are frog food, of course.
So it makes sense that the frogs would seem to time their breeding season with the emergence of this amazing food source that's there.
If you want to experience the Camargue mosquito-free, go in the winter.
It's still full of all the very special creatures you find there, including the flamingos, which are a huge draw for people, but no mosquitoes.
And they're doing this wonderful display.
They sort of flop their wings open, hold them open.
And you see this blazing, almost like scarlet, bubblegum pink, I would say, in the wings.
And there are thousands of them in the Camargue.
You will see them very easily.
One of the reasons I went there was like a needle in a haystack.
I was looking for the one different species of flamingo among these.
There's one lesser flamingo on the Camargue.
It took a couple of days to find it.
But it's an African species that's colonized there.
