And actually, that's one of the arguments against this widespread importation or transportation of frogs from around the world, because you can spread the disease with it.
But also, I mean, within France, I mean, you know, obviously there's this big stereotype of French people eating frogs legs.
And they are, if you want to go looking for them, find them.
They are widely available, frozen in supermarkets.
You see them in these like Chinese buffets.
I wish I could say that I frequent posh restaurants in France, but I rarely, rarely do that.
But it's not like, for most French people, it's not like an everyday food that they eat.
But still, I think millions upon millions of frogs are consumed there.
Also in Iberia, especially in Spain there as well.
But the biggest consumers in the world are the Chinese and it really isn't sustainable.
And so it was lovely to see these edible frogs not being eaten and just living in the wild.
And actually, that recording there, it's literally hundreds of them.
They would go, though, in waves.
They'd be totally silent for many minutes.
And then one starts up and then all of a sudden it's this deafening chorus of frogs all around you.
And then just on some signal, we don't see it.
And obviously the Camargue in the very, very south of France on the Mediterranean coast, it's that bit warmer earlier in the year than it would be in northern France or in Ireland.
But it seemed to time with the emergence of a creature that I really don't like to encounter there is the mosquito.
