that can have a little bit of impact on your traction and your grip, so he thinks it'll be quite a big test of the car here, given the track configuration, and of course they've made some good gains with the car, with the upgrade, and they've been working on this ride thing in particular, so they've got some ideas.
work on.
Kimi Antonelli working on his starts.
He's got a modified clutch paddle in terms of just giving him a little bit more consistency hopefully and sensitivity.
You can't do anything with the clutch paddle to change it in terms of the fact it's got to be kind of a linear relationship so you can't put any
tactile stuff or resistance or anything to tell you where you've got to put it but anything that gives the driver a bit more control and precision is is going to uh is going to help there we did have a bit of chat about the the whole aduo stuff as well outside of honda didn't we there's a little bit sort of bubbling along isn't there in terms of the whole relationship of that and 27 regs that's definitely going to be a story to follow through the weekend
Yeah, and all the drivers have been briefed on this.
Charles Leclerc asked him about how important it is to go through with those 27 changes.
And he very much put forward the Ferrari line, which is, well, it's a bit more complicated and you don't want to kind of undo work that's been done and change the balance too much, etc., etc.
So he was in an indirect position.
While you're talking about what you were talking about, I was talking about it from a team perspective, obviously Ferrari aligned, but saying, well, there's cost implications and cost cap implications.
Do you need to do a new monocoque because of it?
If there's a bigger battery or extra fuel required, all of these.
Just problems upon problems upon problems.
And I think if this is confounded, that's going to look pretty bad for F1.
I know they announced it was a thing in principle, but it's not great to announce something, look like you're going to find ways to solve these problems and then you can't do it in practicality.
so yeah that's going to be a really interesting thing i think to follow through the coming days lewis hamilton was talking about his uh his simulator cutback he alluded to this after the previous race he said that he hasn't done any simulator prep for this race because he said basically you you
never really get direct porting over of setups I think he said about the only time that the setup he had in the simulator was carried over into the weekend was Singapore 2012 where he got pole and then of course infamously retired while leading with a gearbox failure that was caused by a little bit of the
gearbox casing mould had been left in there and it came free and just got into the mechanism and it put him out and then not too long after he committed to Mercedes.
So interesting in terms of Hamilton still sort of searching for the best approach for him.
