So even if they're two scores up against Bordeaux and there's 15 minutes on the clock, there's sense.
And then the anxiety around that can often send a team into its shell.
Well, it's kind of two things.
The glass is half full because we know their potential, but they've had a sketchy season.
They've lost more games this year in the ORC than previously.
There are frailties there, but the worrying thing for me is that teams now know
that even if you're two scores down against Leinster, it's not over.
Just need to get one, make it one score game, and the wheels start to wobble.
And that's just a fact.
The history is there to prove it.
And Leinster know it.
So actually, the probably most important part of Leinster's preparation for the final in Bilbao is between their ears.
If they get their head right for 80 minutes and they play to their potential, they have a very good chance of winning it.
Don't get me wrong, Bordeaux are a really good outfit.
I watched them take back to the woodshed a few times on the weekend.
That tried the end from back, just put a polish on it.
It was double scores up to that point.
So this is a very good Bordeaux team and they've tasted success.
But Leinster are right up there with them.
Leinster are just as good as Bordeaux if they can get the job done.
