Every event's going to feel big, and then you're going to have your majors.

And rightly or wrongly, I think that's where we're going, and we're on the early steps towards that.

It's actually rainy over the weekend, apparently, the forecast.

Rainy but warm.

So I know where you're going, but I might not be wearing the shorts that one is about to mention.

I was just given a blue one, a navy blue one.

It was a bit of a hand-me-down.

It was from Jordan Smith's old collection.

But look, it looks wonderful.

I tried it on and I said that.

Practical?

Same size.

Immediately in the closet.

So they are tremendous, those shirts.

No, I don't know what I was going to say there.

I was going to say if I wear it, I hope to swing it like him, but we shall move on.

Well, the best atmosphere I can ever recall playing in was at Belle Reve in 2019, the

pga where brooks kept one and tiger was there i think it was in saint louis or saint louis i'm not sure how exactly you say it but not a place where golf goes to very often in america and the crowds were unbelievable and and to your points um if the ladies were to take a major there they would get far better crowds than what was on the show in houston uh i've thought for years when i've gone and played scottish opens where it happens to be the case that an open is there the week after and

scottish open crowds can be down because people are saving up to go to the open the week after and you're right they can't keep going week after week after week so i tuned i tuned in a little bit found it incredibly boring uh and that's in spite of quite admiring nelly quarter's golf swing i think there was a lady called yoon in fourth place she had a magnificent swing loved watching yeah fantastic swing um i thought the standard of golf was very good but it none it just was so interminably boring and tough to watch and um and i found myself switching off
