And OK, he's hitting the ball so far.

It's one of the main reasons he's dominant at Augusta.

But there's another side to that coin, and we're kind of seeing it, and it's the erratic nature of not just the shots off the tee, but also with the iron.

So it was curious to hear him say what he worked on.

He likes to keep things so incredibly simple, and that's obviously why he's so successful.

And that is a simple thing indeed to focus on, just clearing the hips.

But look, I...

The thing that struck me, and I sort of thought this, the more it got into a battle and a fight, the more confident I felt for him, actually.

He's a complete 180 in terms of the golf he came out as.

And I suspect he finds aspects of that frustrating.

And the other side of it, he's extremely proud of and he should be.

But when he says it doesn't feel easy, and he used to make it easy, the reason it used to be easy for him is because he was so much better at Teeter Green than he is now.

And he never used to putt and chip the way he does now.

But he's evolved.

His game has evolved.

His character has come on just tremendously.

And obviously that's why we admire him so much.

But I would love to see Rory just get more control off the tee, but particularly with those irons.

And if he could get 10%, 20% more control, even if it meant reining it in off the tee...

Was it?
