I find the character tough.
What do you not like about her?
Firstly, I thought the storyline that she had where she was doing important work and then was kind of doing and then got sacked and was doing fashion work and was kind of trying to make sense of that.
Really realistic.
You see that with so many people I know in the industry.
That is not cringe to me.
I think the idea that she was like patronizing someone as iconic as Miranda Priestly by trying to save her.
I was like, come on.
It's like, have the nows to understand.
Sitting in that meeting with Dior to be like, we're selling our soul.
I can't believe we're going to write an article on the Dior straw.
And then lamenting the fact that McKinsey consultants are coming in and the business is about to sink.
Should an idealism that I really, really frustrated me.
And then trying to save your boss who knows more about this business than you.
Where I was like, are we serious?
Of course, it was slightly juvenile.
It was giving like action movie, like they have to travel on the boat and do the secret meeting.
Do you think that Emily's character was well written into the film?
