She really did, but she didn't know how to do it.
And her teachers worried that this desperation for like a best friend or a friend group could lead her to being taken advantage of maybe by other kids in big school.
And when Anna eventually went up to secondary school, her teacher's concerns became a reality.
Anna really struggled to make friends.
She really didn't have that many.
She was left out of a lot of things by the other kids.
But the saddest part is was that Anna was a genuinely really, really nice girl.
She was harmless, she was so kind, she was generous, she wanted the best for everyone, but she just lacked social skills.
So she was a wonderful person, but no one was ever gonna find that out because she couldn't talk to people long enough for them to get to know her.
But in this secondary school, Anna was bullied relentlessly.
In primary school, like I said, it was just more teasing and picking on her every now and again.
All the kids kind of did it to each other in primary school, but now in secondary school, Anna was a target.
They would pick on her for a lot of different things.
Her height was a big thing.
Her social skills were another.
But also the fact that she was adopted because she knew she was adopted.
Everyone knew she was adopted.
And they always used to tell her that she had fake parents, which is just awful.
But a lot of the bullying that was directed towards Anna was actually online through like social media, cyberbullying.
She also experienced a lot of hate comments on YouTube and I don't think they were from the kids in school.
