He recognized the good time to make this move.
You know, we kind of haven't seen the Bulls do this in the past.
It would be very them to make the mistake of, you know, doing this when they don't have as many draft picks or they don't have as much flexibility financially and with the roster.
But he even said it, you know, when he was asked about it, Michael Reinsdorf, like.
This is a situation that I looked at.
I saw all the flexibility we have moving forward.
I saw all of the opportunities.
And basically, you know, he didn't say this part, but you could read between the lines, like he didn't want to give the opportunity to this front office to start completely fresh.
So, you know, there's a really good opportunity for someone to come in here and do things quickly if they want to do it that way.
Like we said, you have all the money this offseason.
Now, cap space doesn't really matter as much as it used to in the NBA.
But the good news is, you know, you can use that money to pull off these trades, especially with these draft picks that you have.
So if there's a disgruntled star, the Bulls are going to continue to be near the top of the conversation to go after that type of player because of how many draft picks they have available.
They have all their future firsts.
They obviously now have two firsts in this upcoming draft, which is going to be a big deal.
And they have the money to absorb big contracts.
But if somebody comes in and they say, I want to do this traditionally, I want to use my draft picks, I want to go for high draft picks, they're going to have that opportunity as well.
But I think it's a good position to be in.
It's an attractive job, not only because of the big market, but because of all the flexibility that you have.
If I had to guess, I think probably someone comes in and doesn't just choose, like, I'm going to take this four years, five years.
