So are there warning signs even in less extreme situations that control is escalating in a dangerous way?

Yeah, so I like to start from, I call it preventative medicine.

I like to start from the very beginning.

So if you're on a date with somebody or you meet somebody in business or you meet a new friend and you start to see the behaviors like love bombing, right?

So the nonstop calling, making plans, they seem to just get you so quickly.

If you hear the word, you're my soulmate, you run for the hills.

I put that out as a blanket statement, right?

You know, they don't even know your middle name, but yet somehow you're their soulmate.

If you start doing things like you're planning your wedding and it's how cute and we're going to name our kids this, this, and this, and this is going to be our dog.

No, because that's not, you don't know anybody well enough to be their soulmate, right?

You don't know anyone yet.

You don't know how they operate.

You don't know how they argue.

And so those are red flags from the very beginning.
