I mean, that's you could call that a death sentence.
Right.
I mean, it's so it's way better to kind of like try to, you know, white knuckle it.
through the Trump administration, try to lie low, try to find work under the table.
But, you know, that means potentially worse wages.
Yeah, it means somebody who had status no longer has status.
And that makes you more vulnerable in a lot of ways in our society and more vulnerable to workforce or workplace abuse.
So, but yeah, people are
People are, from what I understand, are going to stay.
I guess I keep on coming to this word dignity.
In the humanitarian reporting I did previously for the Houston Chronicle, again, seeing people in, like, migrant camps and there's β I mean, really, like, undignified circumstances, right?
There was such contrast.
Right.
right, at Sinai Residences, people are really worried about what's going to happen to these workers who are part of this work community.
And, you know, doing, I mean, going out of their way to see, like, what can we do?
Can we keep these workers this way or that way?
You know, residents thinking about, like, can, is there a way for me to help these workers?
Like, is there a way for me to, like, help them if they were to be deported?
You know, and
From what I saw in my visit, there's just like this really positive work environment.
