So I had the side sleeper in the bassinet and Pia loved it.
She went from sleeping next to me to the walk-in robe, which was like a weird suggestion that Dr. Golley actually had because she was keeping me up with all the grunting and like the weird sounds that they make early days.
It's like...
Whoa.
And it's like loud.
But they're fine.
But we're awake.
And they're happily sleeping, but we're suffering.
So Dr. Golly was like, okay, put the bassinet.
If you have a walk-in robe with a door, put her in the walk-in robe.
Mind you, we have a very slim walk-in robe.
Like...
I feel like if someone saw her sleeping arrangements, it may be questionable.
But ever since Pia had started sleeping in the bassinet, I was starting to get sleep again.
So I think it's like whatever works for you.
Who cares what people might have to say and think?
Whatever is going to help us as moms get that extra bit of sleep, even if it's like that 20-minute power nap and the baby needs to go on the walk-in robe, the baby is going to go on the walk-in robe in the dark, in the silence.
And I've also got two cats and a crazy dog that do not shush.
And there's that saying that you'll hate your pets forever.
even more so when you have a kid.
