And you walk in the house and you're like, wow, my bed's low.
My couch is low.
It looks great.
But it's really low.
And in hospital, everything is accommodated for you and like your recovery.
Like the height of the bed.
Who knew that like being able to get in and out of bed was so important for recovery?
I didn't know that.
I didn't consider that.
And the changing station as well, like too low, too high.
recovering from the incision, like it still gives me like the heebie-jeebies when I think about the feeling the incision was, you know, having for those sort of six weeks.
People say that you'll forget about the feeling.
So they're all lying.
Because I'm six and a half months postpartum and I can still remember the burning sensation like it was yesterday.
And I will never forget.
And when that time comes for baby number two, the changing station set up is crucial.
Because when dad goes back to work, he was three weeks postpartum, me postpartum.
And yeah, I had to change the nappies whilst healing.
And it was fantastic.
painful and you know I stopped taking the pain relief and you just feel every tug and pull on the skin and it was just like shit I need a yeah future changing station having it fully stocked and ready to go that is essential.
