No, definitely not, actually.
Mum and dad are almost the complete opposite of that.
You know, incredibly encouraging, but never pushy in that sense.
But I do remember, like, from a really young age,
Um, just kind of always being encouraged to try, try your best, um, and, and not be fearful of the outcome.
Um, you know, I used to get incredibly nervous going to school swimming and athletics carnivals, um, or anything kind of individually based in sport.
And like, I'd be sitting in the car on the way to the, to the carnival and mum would be driving me and I just felt sick with nerves, like absolutely petrified.
Um, you know, to the point where like the idea of getting to the start line was pretty scary.
scary thing.
And like, I would have loved to turned around and gone home for the day.
Um, but mum always kind of said like, no one really remembers the result the next day.
Um, that's not what matters, but, um, you'll remember the feeling if you don't get up there and, and give it a go.
Um, like, I guess that sense of like regret, I guess, and not just trying.
So, um.
more for you growing up at least wanting to resist failure or is it more that you wanted to win which is the big driver probably neither I think it's more that sense of wonder and like just giving it your best and seeing where things turn out and you never know if you don't

And I think it's that internal sense of fulfillment as opposed to any kind of outcome or sense of failure.
It's just what's possible and what are you capable of.
I think that's fundamental to it, like some sense of joy.
And enjoyment isn't just laughing and smiling and dancing around the whole time.
