It would certainly have ended before we went.
It's almost like years in the business and working towards something like this, and then it's completely destroyed and you've lost all credibility.
I felt, I don't know, more devastated than angry, I think.
I felt kind of betrayed and let down.
Simply, we couldn't have afforded to get home.
I mean, Cliff wasn't going to go, well, here's your ticket home, off you go then.
He wasn't going to do that.
There was no way.
He was insistent that he was going to push this through and it was going to be a success.
You know, Cliff's going to change it to the new Fleetwood Mac.
And it's our job to go on stage and prove how good we are.
These unknowns, all this cobblers.
But the weird thing was, we carried on and we were still going down a storm.
Some of the gigs, they were brilliant.
I mean, you know, getting up and performing, you kind of, everything else goes out of the window and you're concentrating on what you're doing.
And it was a good lineup.
Musicians that, you know, I could rely on to do the job.
It felt great and it went down great.
Considering the situation that we were in and all the news and the bad publicity, getting encores at gigs was kind of quite surprising.
The back line all went down.
