We all think of your home and especially your bedroom as truly the safest haven in

And I thought about with that ransom note, the Chowchilla bus kidnapping situation where that ransom note never even got to police because there was such a deluge of communication.
And the difficulty here is...
I think in part fielding the amount of information and you're assessing each for credibility and also for relevance as you parse through.
And rightly so, they've encouraged everyone who even thinks they have something irrelevant or small to submit it.
And then I think about now, at what point is this a hostage negotiation?
At what point, if all of this is true?
Does the communication between those perps and law enforcement come to light?
And I think about Kyle Voenkel, also FBI hostage negotiator, who managed a seven-year-old boy in Alabama who was taken hostage for days.
And, guys, there is a spectrum.
Of patience and ensuring that the perp doesn't do something horrific to who they have.
And also the need to get that person with medical liability here back into safety and that it trumps at a certain point you having the ball in the court of the perp.
And final thought, as we talk about how the sheriff fields PR and again, hearkening back to Eddie Fryer and the good job he did.
Dianne Feinstein ruined the Night Stalker investigation when she went to the media and talked about the shoe tread and size of the Night Stalker before law enforcement gave her the approval to do so.
He watched that and he threw away those shoes.
He threw them off the Golden Gate Bridge.
And therefore, there were people that were brutally raped and murdered after that presser because they had to start from scratch to catch that guy because he was tipped off as to what they're looking for.
