So anyway, all right, let's go through it.
Well, we know he did it.
We know he did it.
We know he did it.
But it was never really legally charged or anything.
So anyway, we'll get through it.
So Susan Cox Powell was a Utah mother of two, and she disappeared, this is back in December of 2009, under suspicious circumstances.
Shortly after she vanished, her husband Josh Powell was named a person of interest, but was never charged in her disappearance, and her body to this day has still never been found.
In February of 2012, during a court-ordered supervised visit, Josh...
killed his two young sons before taking his own life and a house explosion.
The case later led to a wrongful death lawsuit against Washington's child welfare agency with Susan's parents arguing that the state failed to protect the children.
And we're going to get into that a little bit more as we go through this.
Now we're going to go in order.

And actually, Elizabeth Smart's father, Ed, became very close with the Powell family.
Not the Powell family, the Cox family.
