I, as I get older, I'm so happy with my decision more and more.
It's something I feel so much more certain with.
And I, to be honest, I wanted to connect with other women around this topic as well.
Definitely.
I think that's why I write, honestly, because I want to connect and connect.
start conversations I love it when a book like gets people going and what was so funny about the response of this book is either people felt so seen by it you know it's the first protagonist a lot of people had read in a book about a child free by choice woman they're normally the side character they're normally the sister it's like no this is this is a book called Olive about a child free by choice woman and
But some people also didn't like her and called her selfish and called her, you know, someone that's like self-indulgent and wants to take up so much space in her life.
And I think that's still a taboo.
You know, women that want to really live on their own terms, like fully do whatever they want.
That's new.
Women for history have had to do what other people want them to do.
And I think, you know, it's good to talk about it.
I think one big one for me was the assumption that if you're not going to have kids, you're going to be this high-flying career woman.
