It's like meeting someone for the first time that you've only seen on the internet and that you've heard about. And then you think you know everything about them just because you've seen them on the internet and because you've heard your friends talking about them and all these things. It's like, nope, you actually don't know them as much as you think you do.

And so we have to kill those expectations and... We have to kill the expectation of who we think God is and actually allow him to reveal himself and speak for himself instead of us deciding who he is based off of our perception, rumors, and et cetera, but like really discovering God. And that can be done through prayer. It can be done through scriptural reading, through community, church.
