So the locust is representing the judgment of what the people were partaking in, in wickedness. We understand? So we now see in the next part of scripture, I'm going to start reading in verse 12. It says, Even now, declares the Lord, return to me with all your heart, with fasting, weeping, and mourning. Rend your heart and not your garments.

How we said before, the beginning of this called to repentance mark of what Joel is preaching is that the people of Judah have been disobedient to the things of God, that they have turned away against them, they've turned to their wickedness, they've turned into their own flesh, and they're acting out of lawlessness.

And so, because of that, God, in response, had to release His judgment, which was the locust. The locust was eating up all these things that they worked hard for.
