And then the moment that sin came into place, they separated.
And so God's presence being consecrated and holy, it needed to be protected.
And this is where the Ark of the Covenant comes from.
The Ark of the Covenant contained the Ten Commandments.
It contained manna, which is what sustains the Israelites from their journey from Egypt to
to canaan which was the promised land and then it contained aaron's butted uh what the heck was that a rod a rod um which basically signified the high priestly hood and in that ark of the covenant resembled god's presence and so god's presence needed to be protected so it resided in a tabernacle and so the day of atonement which is where we're going to is where the high priest
would go into the Holy of Holies, which is the innermost place of God where the Ark of the Covenant is, and would intercede on the behalf of God's people and would sacrifice.
Was it a goat or a lamb?
on the behalf of everybody in that city.
And then would also send out another goat out into the wilderness.
So the sins left the people.
And so that had happened every single year, every single year.
But the moment that Jesus Christ came, he was the final atonement.
Like Jesus wasn't just a man who went on a cross and died for his sins.
His blood actually stopped a chain reaction that us humans were trying to make up for a place that we didn't have with God.
