I'm not totally for it.
But the bigger thing for you to apply there is the five-year rule.
Are you going to use the money in the next five years?
And if you are, bank account is for you.
Credit union are on post.
If you're not, get it out of there and get it invested.
Okay, so the question here is, should I invest in property?
Should I take and buy a separate investment property?
I always find this incredible, right?
Irish people in general, if you look at a well-constructed, well-diversified portfolio...
it'll have right now today about 5% exposure to property.
In Ireland, we've about 70% of our wealth tied up in land and property.
We love a bit of property.
We love to be able to invest in it.
Do you know why?
Because you can touch it, you can see it, you can smell it, you can walk by it, you can see the rent coming in on it.
We can understand it and that makes sense.
And I do think there's a part to play for property in a person's overall portfolio, if you want to use that fancy word.
But I do think we are totally overexposed.
