I think it is.

I think it's a very serious matter.

And the nub of it is that through AI...

programs have been developed which not only can get into your computer systems because they know where there are vulnerabilities, but once in there, they can wreak havoc on various aspects of critical national infrastructure, but also on big business, the financial sector, health service,

and on small and medium-sized enterprises so the computer software that's been developed seeks out vulnerabilities when it finds those vulnerabilities it then penetrates into them and uh essentially makes off with your money and it's we're talking a lot of money here i mean the the the non uh ai assisted tools uh

in in 2024 for example in in the uk cost the government 327 million pounds the british library attack they were required to pay a ransom of 600 000 pounds they refused and it ended up costing them 7 million pounds and they still not solved the problem so what we call frontier ai so leading edge ai

is even more dangerous than what we have seen so far.

And what we have seen so far has been pretty damn bad.

Well, it's interesting that you mentioned Trump because actually the Americans have moved quite quickly against a company called Anthropic and two of its AI generated software programs.

And indeed, Anthropic are not allowed to export these programs, which is most unlike everything else that Trump has done.

He'd been very keen to get the world to accept software.

US leading edge Silicon Valley cyber software, but not this stuff because it's lethal.
