Well, I will tell you this.
They're feeling the same way the Royals fans are.
We always kind of joke about it this time of the year.
where in this case the Wolves made it to the second round of the playoffs, the Wilds made it to the second round of the playoffs for the first time in a decade.
This is Vikings country up here, so you can put football talkers on the radio any day of the year and people are sinking their teeth into it.
But it gets very abyss-like sometimes in the summer when it becomes twin season, when twins are kind of the centerpiece of sports in the Metro.
And it is becoming that way again this year.
And for a team that was, in some ways, believe it or not, three games under .500 as they are, almost kind of being more entertaining and outperforming the expectation of a fan base that didn't see much coming into this year.
Derek Shelton, as much as I would say that I really, really personally like the guy, a very underwhelming hire.
You see a team that's paring back.
in the amount of money that they're putting into this roster despite a glaring just desperate in the desert looking for water need to improve specifically bullpen pitching and you see a team sitting on their hands and that's a really frustrating thing after last year's fire sale into this year the injury struggles that just seems evergreen and
time memoriam for this Twins team.
So there's frustration from the fan base, but in some ways there's also, you know, Austin Martin is a really cool story as he comes along in Minnesota.
Byron Buxton continuing off of an incredible season last year.
Joe Ryan having a terrific year after some preseason injury worries.
There's some really cool bits with the team right now, but overall, as I say these things, that's about as much time during our show in Minneapolis that we would spend on the Twins for a large part of the show these days.
Well, that could probably expand into a greater conversation of just maybe downtowns and certain markets throughout the country outside of sports.
I will tell you this.
People still love Target Field.
