I think the Democrats have had to pick and choose which of these key cabinet offices they're going to challenge. On some, such as its Secretary of State, they're going to go along with this most likely. But they've drawn the line at the Pentagon, at least for now.

But they just think he is the wrong guy at the wrong time at this place. In this case, they seem fine with the risk that they're going against the trend of disruption. The Pentagon is too important, too important an institution to put in the hands of such an inexperienced and unfit candidate, in their view.
