And so my town had an effed up fire department.

I'm a professional fireman.

And as life works out, I need to be home as much as I can now.

So I applied.

Due to that chaos was I had no board during that interim period.

It was insane.

So a board is the governing body, just like an HOA or city council, right?

Or a special district board like mine was.

They are the key holders, if you will, to the tax revenue.

Yeah.

Okay.

Yep.

And so they are the fiduciary stewards of every dollar that comes in, right?

And at the local level, it is designed to benefit the local level to the max, rather than like a federal entity guiding how you have to do it.

And so when I came on, there was one board member who asked me to do it.

very quickly after in conversations like the attorney that represented the district was like, oh, I'm not even eligible to be on this board because my voter registration is in a different state.

He had multiple homes.

And so he was he like left and there was nobody.

So there's a special process where the county commissioners had to hold, you know, basically anybody that wants to apply will interview them.

They reconstitute the fire board.
