I do.
Yeah.
I do.
Oh, yeah.
It was the agreement that my parents and I like sort of subconsciously made.
It was like, go give all your attention to them.
Like they need it more.
I can take care of myself.
That's exactly what was going on too.
It wasn't a conversation, but I wanted to ease the load.
That kind of continued through my 20s.
I went to a really good school for musical theater and kept making my parents proud in that way.
But then through my 20s, I started becoming the fuck up in a way because of what I essentially now could recognize as dysphoria.
When you're in high school and you're talented, you just get the leads, right?
Yeah, yeah.
But once you get in the real world, so much of how you're cast is based on your body.
If you are trans and you feel like your body is so separate from your identity, then the roles that people are putting you out for are going to feel so far from who you are
That, like, it's going to feel dysphoric, basically.
All the roles I was going out for were, like, Josh Gad roles.
