It's different than being a journalist and writing about it.
I'm really trying to imagine being them.
And I'm not looking at it from a judgmental point of view.
I don't have an agenda about whether they're a good person or a bad person or whether this army sergeant should have made that decision or that one.
I'm thinking, why did he make it?
I play a jazz musician, a drug addict.
I'm not sitting there judging him over a bad person.
I'm thinking, why did he do it?
You know, it's a painkiller.
