I don't know who's like the best top guy coming out of there.
And then they have a pedigree of winning.
So if you come in as a new manager and you automatically lose after Bob Melvin and Mike Schilt have led them to the playoffs, I think the last three or four years, you're kind of in a weird spot.
Not to mention that Machado seems like kind of a handful in the locker room.
I mean, I don't know that for a fact, but just based on some of the interviews, it's like, all right, this guy seems like...
Think about that.
And the other tricky thing, too, that like just strictly based on these like articles of like potential candidates, the one guy I found kind of interesting, but I feel like you're almost playing with fire, although you could lose him if you don't hire him, is they keep talking about Ruben Niebla, their pitching coach becoming the manager, which I'm like, that's fine.
But then does that mess up your pitching?
You know, do you have to like hire a perfect guy?
Now I'm trying to think, I think the last one that comes to mind, my, which was not great was Mickey Calloway with the Mets.
He came from the guardians.
That's what I'm saying.
So that that's like the good part of a manager, because it's like if we come to the middle of the season, we're like, man, we're not looking good at this one spot.
He'll trade literally any human being that is not in the majors.
It could even be like a scout that's on the road.
It'll be like, hey, you're going to Arizona.
Yeah, and their bullpen is still insane.
They might lose Robert Suarez, who is an all-star, and they still have two guys who could be your closers with Mason Miller and Jason Adams.
And more guys that I'm not probably mentioning, but yeah.
That's all right.
