Wasn't that supposed to be what the New York Mets were going to do?
Just outbid every other team for every player you wanted?
That was the idea.
So the Dodgers are just doing, in practicality, what you thought the Mets were going to do.
But that's not the story today.
Because the Mets panicked, I mean pivoted, I'm sorry, did I say panicked?
I feel like I said panicked there.
The Mets panicked, pivoted to Bichette.
And the Mets did to the Phillies exactly what the Dodgers did to the Mets.
But you're not upset.
You're not upset that the Mets overpaid to get Bichette.
And he walked away from a seven-year, $200 million deal to come to the Mets on what's essentially four one-year deals.
Because there's an opt-out after each deal.
Each year if he wants it based on his performance.
Obviously we'll see how that plays itself out.
But you guys, when did New York sports fans become so insecure and so sensitive and whiny bitches?
