And then for her, it progresses into, you know, she's in high school and she has, you know, an experience with a man on the bus, but that's dismissed by her father.
Later on, you know, she's putting in over 60 applications for jobs.
And, you know, we know that there's an incredibly tight market for work in South Korea.
She faces a question.
I think she's applying for one job.
This is a thing that really stood out for me.
And she's...
sitting with two other women who are also applying for the same job and the interviewer asks her, what would you do if a colleague was sexually inappropriate?
I forget how it was exactly phrased, but it was along those lines.
And I think she says something like she would blame herself and not the other person and ask, what could she do better in that circumstance?
And then later she goes home and just screams and
Because she knows she's not going to get that job because she didn't make the right answer.
So she's just constantly frustrated throughout the whole novel.
But I don't think she realises that she's frustrated.
It kind of is the sum of all of these tiny events in her life.
And, you know, later she does get a job and I just thought it was so sweet.
She talks about...
having a lanyard and having a little piece of the earth for herself.
Oh, she's so proud of herself.
She's so proud of herself and her accomplishment.
