That's correct, Ciarán, yep.

Yeah, well, this morning I came into school here about 20 past eight and I got a phone call from a colleague to say she had received an email of a threatening nature, but our school wasn't on that email.

And so when I came in, then I checked the school emails here, but we'd got a different email and we were listed on it, along with other schools.

I just put in context,

It wasn't just town schools, it was Rathfilly, there was other schools all over the county, from north to south, east to west.

So that kind of alarmed me a bit, but I rang the guards straight away to get advice from them.

And at that stage, the school was literally almost open, kids were turning up, so we just got on it as normal as best we could.

I spoke with the chairperson of the board of management and senior management in the school here to see what we could do.

But obviously it was an evolving situation and obviously we were extra vigilant, but

I'd be fairly happy with security in the school anyway, in general, every day of the week.

Look, it was concerning, but I have to compliment the Gardaí.

We had the armed response unit up here visiting to see if we were fine, and the Gardaí called up an hour ago to take a statement from me.

And I've also had numerous phone calls from the local Gardaí station as well.

They really were superb today in reassuring the school as well.

Many parents did come up afterwards themselves and collected the children from the school.

as is our prerogative.

But look, I'm pretty confident it's a hoax and we'll be back to normal tomorrow, hopefully, and get back to school tours and other events that are going on at the minute.

Yeah, I think in the case of County Clare, it was actually, I think it was two specific schools and they did find the individual involved in that who

had medical issues at the time.

But I suppose the difference with this one, Ciarán, was it was nearly every, not quite every school in the county, but every second school in the county from literally North Carlow to South Carlow across.
