Whatever else has happened today, that's a gray area of life.
And I think more and more people are yearning for a bit of black and white in their life so that they can measure a win.

And I think that's why so many people are turning to recreational activity as a way of measuring themselves against themselves, which I think is great.
I think my way of looking at things is if you're not winning or you're not a pro, no one cares other than maybe your mum.

Yeah, there's a couple of things there.
I think one is when you ran your 2.57 in Tokyo, I bet you can remember when doing that and that pace was as inconceivable then as 3.10s is to you now.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
And that's what's amazing.
And I think that's what's great is if you're wanting to do your first marathon and you're seeing 2.15 at London, that's quite a big gap to bridge.
Yeah.
But seeing the person that's going for 329 might be the thing that gets you to sub four.
And then there's tranches to this.
I think the key detail is at one point there was something that made him commit to taking one step forward that has now spiralled into potentially a 215 marathon.
