I completely agree with you.

I feel like you have to extend Joe Shane just for this process to even to see if it's going to work because you're not getting a true sample size if you have him on an expiring contract.

And then, you know, shit goes wrong.

you're in a leadership role as a general manager, same as a head coach.

And you have to have those same principles and values in your, you can't let someone change those.

Those are supposed to be in stone, you know?

So you have to be confident in what your decisions are and what your process is.

Anytime that you're not personally confident that you have a support staff of people that you rely on to, to,

you know, make you feel confident about whatever decision that you need to make.

You can't be reactionary.

And most of the time the press is kind of wrong or silly or, you know, cherry picking stats or things like that.

So it's really not a good thing.

And I think this was sort of Robert Sala's problem too.

And perhaps the media down that area is less invasive and, you know, berating than the New York area.
