You're paying somebody $20 million a year to be that long-term solution, and they still have limitations that make you want to upgrade the wide receiver room.
The Giants are just not in a position to handle something like that.

Right.
Like you're getting mostly a special teams player.
And, you know, when he does seem time on the field, he's that DB where he kind of flows between free safety into the slot kind of position.
I understand that they're not the same measurables.
He's only 5'8", 170.
But, you know, he's a physical guy.
He has speed to him.
He tackles well.
Every reason why he would be a good special teams player.
So, to me, I kind of view that as a little bit of like, you know, just that DB room depth that Dane Belton sort of held.
Rewind back to South of the Border episode where we were like, I don't understand why we're at this point in the year and this is our wide receiver room.

This is smart, and the timing of it's smart, too.
You want to go into the draft with a depth chart that looks like a respectable Week 15 in the hunt roster on paper, meaning, you know, three or four guys maybe are out for the year, but then otherwise, you know, so some guys are pushed up the depth chart a little bit, but...
