It's not like that in LA.
Everyone kind of keeps to themselves.
You don't really talk to your neighbors.
Is that right? I did some theater in college. No comedy. But it was in the South, in North Carolina. So it was like us trying to do Shakespeare with these crazy-ass Southern accents. And it just... Yeah, I hadn't really been exposed to the comedy part yet, other than growing up watching Saturday Night Live and the reruns of the Carol Burnett show.

And so I started taking classes at the Groundlings where like Will Ferrell and Melissa McCarthy, all these people I'd studied at, Kristen Wiig.
And the dream was to be on SNL.
But again, it was like,
I think that's the only way to do comedy is if you get on SNL.
So that was my path for a long time.
