I call them regional divinities.
And if you move into that kind of geographical region, you know, you have to pay obedience to that particular divinity.
We made gods of them.
The second group I call kind of tribal divinities.
And these were gods who attached themselves to particular nations.
And if the nation was a nomadic nation, the gods traveled around with them and protected them.
And then the third group I call portfolio gods.
And this is like, if you're into agriculture, here's the guy you need to follow.
If you're into warfare, here's the guy you need to follow.
Into art, here's the guy you need to follow.
Into erotic behavior, here's the guy you need to follow.
And so the Israelites had a big problem with that.
They had this god, they're called Yahweh, who led them out of Egypt allegedly, beat the crap out of everybody in the Sinai Peninsula and in the land of Canaan and gave them the land.
And then they got to the land and there's famine and there's drought.
And they go,
This guy is really good at making water.
He does not diddly squat about agriculture.
So let's look at somebody else more kind of appropriate.
And they started following the battles.
And then you had this struggle between two extraterrestrial entities.
